The change we need. Change we can believe in.« »Carnival Within«, »made in America«, thematisiert in verschiedenen Medien und Formen Exzess, Übertreibung, Gigantomanie, Sensationslust und Parodie. Mit ihrem Bezug auf karnevaleske Formen von Schaustellerei und Spektakel berühren die ausgestellten Werke zugleich wichtige Themen der amerikanischen Kultur: Utopien, Religiosität, Rassen- und Geschlechterfragen, Immigration, Konsum und Gewalt.
